O passado alimenta a história dos dias atuais, revelando aos poucos a origem de nosso herói, suas habilidades superiores e seu destino de guerreiro.

Guerreiros de Jade é a primeira co-produção sino-finlandesa, orçada em 3,5 milhões de dólares. Finalizado em 2006, teve sua estréia mundial no Festival Internacional de Toronto, integrando o programa Vanguard.

O filme mistura fantasia e kung fu, inspirando-se no folclore finlandês, conhecido como o mito Kalevala, combinando as mitologias chinesa e finlandesa. Os eventos acontecem em dois tempos diferentes: na Finlândia moderna e na antiga China. O longa é recheado de efeitos especiais nunca antes testemunhados no cinema finlandês, incluindo hábeis cenas de luta, paisagens espetaculares e incríveis cenas de multidão. A trilha sonora original é assinada por Kimmo Pohjonen e Samuli Kosminen, com interpretação de Pohjonen / Kosminen Kluster, artistas populares da Finlândia.
